The Giant Schnauzer is a separate, powerful working breed, not an oversized Miniature. The Miniature’s AKC standard calls for 12–14 inches at the shoulder; the Giant standard describes a much larger, strongly built dog. Both need training and grooming, but space, handling strength, and exercise demands differ substantially.
